The A8 in the second movie, none of the S-Classes in the first movie, not even the E38 or the Saab.
The S-Class is the worst offender, it looks so wrong.

This makes me sad.

Maybe it looks different in person but I liked the S-class with those wheels.

Because aftermarket wheels are baller yo.

Maybe the director saw something? Or product placement?

Well, the Transporter films are basically designed as car fantasy for high schoolers, and all high school kids know that tacky aftermarket rims make cars cooler.

Well, the S-class was stolen wasn't it?

Actually, that's the A8 from the third movie. In the second movie, it does have the original wheels.

This one yes, but there are 15 in the movie and all of them have aftermarket wheels.

Now I'm even more confused.

That makes some sense.

are they 15 different sets of aftermarket? Or 15 of the same?
![]() 02/15/2015 at 17:45 |

Same

Perhaps, but to this day (and I've watched all three movies yesterday because I'm at the beach and it is raining) I don't know what those wheels are.

I think you meant evil.

I suspect, its because they planned on wrecking a few wheels, and buying a stack of aftermarkets is cheaper than a pallet load of OEM wheels?

I am usually not a fan, but those are decent looking wheels. Watch the end credits again and see if there's a nod to the manufacturer. Otherwise ... maybe it's what the stunt driver wanted for some reason? Running out of ideas ....
